Paired this with a Nikon D3100 and love this combination. The first lens had to be returned because the zoom would not turn properly. The second lens is great. I am stepping up from a point and shoot and this is a really great light weight package. It is cheaper than the Nikon 18-200 and I have been very impressed at the quality of the pictures so far. Indoors the AF is a bit slow. Outdoors it has been fantastic.

Mostly use to take pictures of anything that I see outdoors and also Automotive/Racing. Mountain views.. for those events they are great.. but for very low light make sure you have a flash or your 1.4 50mm AFS lens. with those 2 lenses you are set. I always have my tripod but rarely have to use it.. it is fast enough the PZD lens to not have blur in high speed Pictures.. (NASCAR).

Love the small compactness of the lens. The focusing is very fast and accurate.
