I use these lenses a lot. They're great general purpose lenses. Thanks to the price I don't have too worry as much about where I going with them.

I did buy this combo lens just to get started on DSLR photography... maybe the 28-80 lens has a bunch of limitation for whom wants expectacular photos, but for fun & casual shots i would say that it's OK.
About the 70-300mm, that's what I like about good lenses, i took a shot of a Lili and got a wonderful surprise for the price I payed for this combo lenses.

Just check the shot and concentrate on the details of the photograph.
