This cute little manual lens is a real pleasure to use. Regarding its output, size and weight, this is just the perfect walk around lens.
It's brighter, sharper and way lighter than the Nikon AF-S 24-70mm f/2.8 G ED. Just move a few steps, concentrate on composition and you won't need the "Nikon's best mid-range zoom" anymore... and your back will thank you for that !
The Ultron is very sharp @ f/2 and dead sharp from f/4. Distortions and vignetting are no problem here. Premium build quality.

I bought this for my Nikon D700. It fit well, was made well, focused easily (snapped in). Worked well with my exposure wheel. But I returned it.
It was so short that I had problems finding the focusing ring. Although it seemed to focus quickly, the focus appeared to be off. I have several MF Nikkors and they all seemed to focus more precisely. The lens was a little too contrasty for my tastes, and the bokeh a bit too harsh. I like the focal length and wanted to love this lens, but it just wasn't to be. Might work for someone else.
