This is simply the finest 90mm lens in the world, regardless of speed, for 35mm photography. Color rendition is outstanding with excellent flare supression for the focal length. The resolving power of this lens is already at the limit of the finest resolving color transparency films at f/2. Unlike some reviews that state the lens is slightly soft at its closest focus distance, my observation is it is tack sharp at all distances. I shoot almost exclusively the highest resolution films, both black and white and color, and I am always astounded at the reproductive quality of this lens. It is in my opinion the best 90mm lens that has ever been produced.
