The original lens cap was of the old Nikon design & easily dislodged, that's probably why I lost it. This new lens cap fits better, even with filters mounted on the lens. The design also makes taking it on/off much easier when the lens hood is on.

Works great... just like the original lens cap that was lost. Wish someone would come up with a lens cap that can't be lost and at the same time doesn't dangle from a string.
