Replaces the Sigma 10-20 cap. The Sigma would fall off. The Nikon cap stays on as designed and is easy to use.

I am replacing all my old style Nikon Lens caps with these new style. There are much easier to pinch on and off your lenses, especially when lens shades are being used.

i bought a 72mm lens, stepped up to 77mm filters, and bought this to protect it(obviously the 72mm lens cap would no longer fit). B + W Step-Up Adapter Ring, to nikon polarizer, to nikon neutral clear filter, to this cap. fits like a champ. GREAT GREAT GREAT!

I lost my original lens cap. This lens cap fits perfectly on the Nikon 70-200 2.8 VR lens.

Seems to grip the filter threads better than the Tokina. Considerably easier to remove or replace. Just feels like a sturdier pice than the stock Tokina cap. I use it on the 12-24mm.

I use some step-up filters for some of the lens. Need a 77mm cap to protect some of the expensive filters. It is easy to use and provide good protection.

This is a huge advancement over the original lens caps supplied with older Nikon Lenses. The new release buttons on the front are easier to use than the original side buttons.
