Good, but hard to fit.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
This hood is identical to the Canon product and, being very sturdy, it'll perform the same function
However, it doesn't carry any dot or fitting point towards the lens, so putting it to the lens is a guessing thing. Also, it fits very tight whereas all original Canon hoods fit very nicely.
Other than that, it's an OK product.
