This was purely an experimental purchase as a compliment to a 50mm f/1.4 lens thinking a little shade from an inconspicuous hood would help reduce stray light and enhance colors and saturations. ONLY use this hood for 35mm or wider. Extends a mere 20mm from face of lens, but is almost wider than my entire DSLR. Performs as advertised, but not what I needed.
