Besides using a filter to reduce the suns effects, I also use a lens hood. A lens hood is also helpfull when it sprinkles outside.

Not a Must-Have for the 85mm f/1.8 lens, but it's a good idea to have one. You never know when you are going to need a hood to help block the sun's flare or that of any other light source...which is why I own one. Better safe than sorry.

I love it!It is fine to know that it fits quite a few lenses!I call this hood a money saving product.Above all,it goes on the lens backwards just to fit in your bag, with no extra space needed.

I've learnt that a lens hood is a good addition. My only issue is what some cost and i wonder the value for a piece of plastic.
Having said that, they do end up being good additions and even protect the lens which is always a good thing.

Glad I got it.

easy to use, effective and durable..

Pros:
Easy To Use, Improves Product Function, Lightweight
Best Uses:
Home, Nature photography, Traveling
Bottom Line:

It stays with the lens. The only minor point is when I try to pull off the lens cap, it is a tight fit unless I pull the lens hood off.
