No, I would not recommend this to a friend
You can't chose how much power to use, doesn't have a reference of wich aperture/speed is the best, so it's not really good for analog where you can't preview your photos. You don't want to use this flash in digital cameras. With it's +50V sync voltage it will fry the electric circuit on your cameras hot shoe.
you can only change 2 of the filters. the blue and the yellow one are fixed to the flash...
It's better to buy a real flash for real cameras, that support color filtering and power metering...
