Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
The ExpoCap is easy to use, fits well on the camera, etc. With my Sony DSC-R1, it does indeed change the white balance for the better, indoors, compared to the camera's automatic setting. I need to try it out in other settings before I can say for sure how worthwhile it will be. I notice that I am becoming more critical of white balance issues over time.
