Easily keeps horizons level in both horizontal and vertical formats. Levels in 2-dimensions - side to side which keeps the horizon level, and front to back, which ensures the horizon stays level as you pan. I would have given the product 5 stars, but my first one slipped out of the hot shoe unnoticed and was lost as I was moving my camera on tripod in the field. A slightly tighter fit would have prevented this (as would better attention on my part.)

This is a simple, inexpensive, and easy-to-carry solution to those un-horizontal horizons! Especially useful when you don't have a clean, flat subject line to follow. Buy one!

I didn't know they made these until I saw someone else in my camrea club using one and I knew I had to have one. My pictures were not straight many times but with this they are. I think it should be advertized more.
