My Pentax's self cleaning system works fine, but all cameras need their sensors cleaned sooner or later. Before I went out and bought a lot of expensive cleaning equiptment I bought this. You'll always be buying cleaning fluid and swabs, why not start with just that. You can take a picture of the sky to see if your sensor is clean, then if you have a nak for cleaning your own camera's sensor yourself buy a magnifier to speed things up on future cleanings. Some Airlines might not allow your cleaning fluid on their plain, in the field I prefer to do a minimal cleaning in a clean space, no fluid, no wipeing. Some cameras may have a special coating on the Image Sensor's IR Cut Filter (Like The Tin Oxide Coating on my Pentax K-10-D, the Pentax K-200-D, and others) make sure your camera dosn't require special cleaning fluid before using any fluid on it.

i would stay away from this product, it cleans the sensor very well, but also cause a deep scratch all over my sensor which now causes me to buy a new camera...

I had dust on a DSLR sensor that would not blow off. This solved the problem. It was easy to use and effective.

Initially I was a little bit concerned about cleaning the sensor on my camera. This kit made it easy to do.
