This is a well made lens case for a small lens. You can wear it on your belt or attach it to a camera bag. Either way, it attaches very securely. I use it for my Nikon 10.5mm Full Frame Fisheye, but it would be good for a 35mm or 50mm prime lens. I no longer have an 18-55 kit lens, but I think that it would fit nicely.

I purchased this case with a Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 wide angle lens. If you want to carry the lens without the lens hood it will fit (very snugly) in the case. If you intend to transport both together, this case is too small. I have put the Olympus LSC-0918 Lens Case for the Zuiko 11mm - 22mm f/2.8-3.5 Digital Zoom Lens on my wish list as all of the Slingers have the same dimension width wise.

Excellent quality accompanied by unexpected flexibility in a very reasonable-priced package --Includes multiple & well-made carry/attachment options plus a removable insert to ensure that even smaller diameter lenses are well-protected. With the insert removed, it's a perfect fit for my Canon 15-85 EFS. Highly Recommended.

It attaches to my Lo pro TLR 2 and I can carry my 18-18-200 NIKON and my 12-24 Nikon very securely.
It allows me to take my favorite wide angle zoom with me on vacation.

For a soft case the quality is extremely high. It fits all my lenses (except for a cheap 70-300mm Nikon) including Tamron and Sigma zooms (< 5" when collapsed) I like that it will easily attach to my Lowepro bags or belt. I originally bought one to transport my Tamron 18-250mm lens but liked it so much I bought one for each lens.

I saw this listed in the "recommended accessories" sidebar while shopping for my Nikon 18mm - 105mm. It fits perfectly and I love the styling and quality. I thought it was great that it has a second layer of padding for the inside to keep it snug for a smaller lense. I definitely plan to buy more Adorama brand lense cases.

Used two different sizes of the Adorama Slinger Soft Lens Cases to protect my 18-135 and 50 - 250 lens packed into a camera backpack. Hiked several mountain trails in the Rockies over scree, through bramble and woods and they kept the lenses safe and secure. Quick & easy to insert and remove lenses. This is a great case. I used this case for a trip to Disneyland. I kept a spare lens for inside pictures in my backpack. It was very easy to get the lenses in and out and I never worried about my lens not being properly protected.

Best lens case around. I looked at a lot of them including Case Logic, Lowe, etc but this was the best and most reasonable. Plenty of padding, perfect for DSLR lenses - I use a Digital Rebel, with a Sigma 55-200, 18-55 IS, and a 50mm prime.

For social events I generally use the 18-55 and carry the 50mm in the case. For outdoors, I carry the Sigma. All fit perfectly. Bought the slinger straps and I attach it to a Holster Case (also from Adorama) - and it doesn't slow me down like a case bag would.

It is great protection for small lenses and storing stuff. I can get two 50mm lenses in one 5" high bag. It is a little bulky to put in your big camera bag. So I have to carry it in a separate bag or connect it to my big bag with the handy Velcro straps that are attached.

Added protection in your equipment bag or by itself. Fit diameter is adjustable by removing extra padding (inside) which degrades protection but still better than standard lens bags. My Tokina 12mm-24mm Zoom fits nice and tight.
