Comments about Think Tank Think Tank Steroid Speed Belt, Padded 3.5" Wide, Extra Large Size Modulus Accessory Belt, Fits 41" - 64", 104 cm - 162 cm, Black:
I use the Skin Set in conjunction with a Steroid Speed Belt, Pixel Racing Harness, and R U Thirsty when photographing all-day, outdoor events. I'm happy with the functionality and lightness of the Skin Set even though the pouches are not padded. This is the most functional, well-thought-out bag system that I've ever used.

I decided to switch to a belt system to reduce load on my back. The idea of this belt is very interesting, but execution is not without drawbacks. The belt is really wide with great paddig: 3.75" wide padded back layer, and 2.5" wide belt for carrying pouches and bags. 2.5" is too wide for many third party pouches, therefore you might find that you have to buy other bags from Think Tank to carry with this belt. Another issue: the large size belt has only about 31" of space to carry accessories split by two sides, and there is no way to move a bag from the left side to the right, or vice versa. At least 9" of space in the front can't be used for carrying because are taken by adjustable part and by belt lock. If you do not use the belt with harness, you can rotate the belt, and move the lock to your back, but with harness it must face front only. I use the belt to carry Think Tank modular components: Digital Holster 50, LC75, LC50, Speed Changer, Lightning Fast, and Gitzo tripod holster GC3320. These occupy almost all the space available (only a couple inches left on each side). But carrying all this heavy stuff for hours is very pleasing with Pixel Racing harness.
