Comments about Camera Armor Camera Armor Protection System, Black Color, for Canon 30D SLR Camera Body:
I got this because I hate stuff such as mobile phones getting scratched, and I may use the camera with a Domke insert inside a satchel instead of a dedicated camera bag, which would seem to imply a little more wear and tear; this looks like it will provide that level of protection but none in case of a fall (which it doesn't purport to).
It's a snug fit and makes the Canon 30D even chunkier, which I actually like but may be an issue for others; you need to get used to the new feel for the buttons, particularly the shutter but so far it's been easy; the wheel is now recessed and that takes a little more getting used to.
It's easy to access the battery compartment and compact flash slot; it does push the on board flash down a little, that will take some figuring out.
My only long term worries are whether it really makes ergonomic sense, and if it will survive being stripped off and put back on again should the need arise. I did find the lens part too gimmicky to use.

I am hard on gear, and I travel a lot, so basically I just stuff the camera in my bag (only get one carry-on in UK these days) and go. I like the fact that one lens armor fits both of the lenses I usually travel with. LCD protector is nice too, though this will scratch eventually. As far as cleaning goes, I just put the camera armor in the dishwasher and it came out clean.

MADE PRODUCTS does not stand behind this item. Would not answer my letter of concern.
Recently I used Camera Armor extensively in Costa Rica and Chile.I will list just some of the following problems I found with Camera Armor
1. Camera Armor will "sweat" against the camera body in the humid tropics,there by possibly getting into camera housing
2. The pop up flash will not always fully engage EVEN WHEN Camera Armor is correctly installed.
3. Camera Armor unnessarily attracks foreign particals that can get on the sensor when changing the lens
3. The auxillary Battery pack is difficult to attach or even make contact for that matter.
4. It can be difficult to attach a camera with Camera Armor to some tripods
5. Some Camera functions are difficult to manipulate.
