Comments about Camera Armor Camera Armor Protection System for the Canon Rebel XSI SLR Camera, Black:

Been a photo enthusiast since my early teens and I am sure something like this would have saved a couple of my lenses and finders as well as kept hundreds of scratches from my camera bodies and filters. Now that I have small children the cameras are always readily available and it is not unusual to find them in my children's hands. I have seen them bang walls and furniture and on occasion they have even fell to the ground without harm. I don't think they will protect the camera or lens from a really hard hit but I can certainly tell you that the armor does a very good job of protecting the equipment from the normal bumps and hits they take on a regular use base. I believe my Canon F1N is jealous to see my DSLR cameras been scratch less because of their armors.

This is a good product, I go to Cleveland Indians games all the time and it is great protection for the rain, it also helps against sand. This product gives the camera extra grip, especially tough hand-held shots where a tripod and mono pod are prohibited. and there is a section for the bottom of the camera that is detachable which allows you to use the XSi battery grip.

Didn't like the fit, was loose in some spots and didn't line up at all in others. Also didn't think it'd do much to keep sand/dust away from the camera. Finally it covered some of the button labels which made it hard for my gf to know which button was which. Returned it.

Comments about Camera Armor Camera Armor Protection System for the Canon Rebel XSI SLR Camera, Black:

This"armour" is well worth the price. My cameras spend most of their day outside in the elements. I especially like the lens hood. It flips back so there are no shadows on the frame. The armor is easy to put on and access is good to 95% of controls.
Con: Lens get a little resistive to the armour. When changing out its necessary to pull on the armor piece that surrounds the base to get a fit. You tug in different places for different lens. I just got familiar with the spots and it's no big deal. The thick piece that covers the bottom is removable, and isn't that secure but does have an extention for tripods. I reinforced the hinged end with tape. Minor issues for something that really protects your camera. It also comes with a LCD cover.
