It needs to be redesigned for the D-200

No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I bought this with high hopes.....they were soon dashed. First of all the IS easy to get on.....the fit is not that good, especially around the top front part of the camera body. The camera strap must be un-hooked to get it to fit & it WILL NOT fit right if you have the MB-D200 battery pack on the bottom of the camera. I also believe that hot weather will cause problems with it. Save your $$.
