Right size, but not good enough.

Pros:
Easily Accessible Equipment, Lightweight, Roomy Lens Compartment, Supports Lens Well
Cons:
Doesn't Cushion Camera Well, Not padded enough, The velcro stops holding

No, I would not recommend this to a friend
While the product houses the camera perfectly, it is not padded enough. Moreover, after a surprisingly brief period of time, the velcro stops holding. Fortunately if you hold the camera by the strap, you are inclined to drop the case which comes off the camera and not the camera itself
