I've used this bag for 2 different child events and have loved it. It is comfortable and has plenty of room for all of my photo gear and extras. The big test will be when my wife takes it.

Love this backpack.. goes onto your back really easy and light weight even if I have my laptop in it. Seems the weight goes evenly on your back with the laptop in.. have room for all my stuff. Even have room for my class books, which are really big and heavy. Does get a heavy when all those are in but still easy to carry on my back. Only has maybe one thing not to happy with and that's to get to the camera have to take it off and put it down to open the bottom. Guess if you are traveling would be fine, but I like to have mine ready at all times. Never know when you might have a photo moment! Hope to be a photographer someday soon and this is my first camera and backpack. Overall I like the bag. Like having everything there when I need it. Camera and Laptop in one bag is wonderful when you go as much as I do. I would recommend this bag to anyone who is starting out. Has room to put another camera and lens. Pads camera really well and the lens.

This is one great bag however the idea of carrying 2 DSLR's and a 15.4" notebook is a stretch. My Acer notebook just fit and the zipper was barely able to close. I would have made the height about 1" more and the front to back depth about 1" more. With that said the construction is great. I will be using it to care 3 speedlites, a battery back, spare batteries, and several light modifiers.

I wanted this case to transport a small amount of gear for short trips or just a quick local photo jaunt. This bag is perfect for both situations - it holds enough gear for a day in the field or a quick
plane trip when I want my PC and camera. It also attaches to my carry on suitcase handle - no need to buy to extra KATA foldable cart.

Carries all my gear bought the Kata camera strap as well, afixes to the metal loops on the shoulder straps so it's not on my neck for extra comfort with larger 70 200 L series zoom.Highly recommend.Like the idea of acess without laying flat to open the whole works.Much cheaper than my lowpro pack.

I picked this up based on the rave reviews, but found it overall just ok for my purposes. Overall construction was good, but definately lacking in the areas I was looking for.
I found the bag itself to be smaller than I had expected, the storage for things other than camera gear is somewhat limited, a foldable rainjacket or some snacks is about all it can hold.
The water bottle holder is WAY too small. I could not find a bottle that fit in it.
I have trouble getting my Nikon D90 with a kit lens in and out of the back, the way that the Camera fits into the camera area snags on the upper edge and takes more effort to get in and out than I expected.
I personally found the straps a bit small and with a laptop in the bag the back became very rigid and uncomfortable.

I use this bag as my primary way of toting my gear around. I usually carry around My 40D with 17/85mm, XT, 50mm 1.8, flash, 100mm macro in the bottom portion. Also the top part is great for holding my 70-200 2.8. The little pockets are great for filters/chargers/and personal items. GREAT BAG FROM KATA. WOULD BUY AGAIN!

I travel a good bit and wanted a backpack-camera carrier easy on my old frame. The DR 467 does that well. Very nice quality and roomy. It holds my large DSLR, and all accessories, some clothes, and a large sketch book and paperbacks in the laptop compartment. Perfect for my needs. I would like a more secure "pocket" for the camera body but adjusted it to do a satisfactory level. Would buy another.

The compartments are well laid out and the pack has just enough room for 1 DSLR with lens attached, 2 other lenses, filters, charger, and personal gear. I don't see how a second body/lens and 3-4 lenses would fit. Still a good pack for my needs. The tripod is held to the side by a strap, which I prefer to strapping it to the bottom.

This pack will hold medium format cameras which most of the others won't. It also has room for your lunch and other hiking essentials, which many others don't. The bottle carrier is much too small to hold more than a tiny water bottle, and there is no easy way to secure the tripod.

The Kata 467 Rucksack Backpack is a great bag for photo gear. With my old bag being a compact backpack, I was amazed at the size of the rucksack. Being a small-framed woman, I was also impressed how comfortable the pack was on my back. I also like the padded slot for my 15.4inch laptop. It even fits in the slot with the laptop sleeve. There is plenty of room for personal items in the top section, and my Pentax K10D DSLR with 18-200mm lens attached comes out of the lower section easily. The yellow interior makes it easy to find things, and the small zipper compartments are nice for storing media cards, batteries, etc.

I use this bag to transport my camera and daily use lenses from home to the office and for on location work. When it comes to features, Kata thought of everything. The craftsmanship is incredible as well.

This is a good bag to use for carrying all your gear including your laptop. It is a little cumbersome to remove camera but it does protect it well. There is plenty of room to store all the extra things you like to take with you. Also comes with a rain cover in case the weather turns bad.

I traded a Tamrac Expedition 6 for this bag becuase the former was too bulky for me (5'10" frame) to carry. This bag is a much better fit from a size. Space is plenty in the many pockets including a laptop and the bag appears to be very sturdily constructed. The rain cover is a nice addition as well. The only drawback I see is that when used with a battery grip, it is a bit of a tight squeeze for my Pentax K20D. Without a grip (which can be stored separately)it fits well as do several lenses. A second SLR will fit in the upper compartment.
A nice feature is that this back pack does not look like one that carries photo gear..very nondescript and will likley not attract any attention. The price makes this is a great value!

This is a very well thought out backpack. The construction is good for an under [$] bag. It holds all my equipment, D300, 12-24mm, 105mm, 18-200mm, 50mm, SB-800, SB-400, and lot's of little extra stuff in the zippered pockets. It can hold my 70-200mm f2.8 in the top pocket flat, if I want too, or all my Cokin Z-Pro holder and filters. I bought a LowPro Primus AW and sent it back. It was much larger but carried much less. I would easily have paid more for this pack.

I bought this bag so that when I traveled home from school, I wouldn't have to carry 2 bags + clothing - 1 bag for my laptop (normal backpack), 1 bag for my camera stuff (Slingshot 200), and a suitcase. This bag works perfectly for that purpose. The laptop compartment is very large and well designed. If you forget the zip up that compartment, the laptop cannot fall out as the shoulder straps connect on the side of the bag such that it would hold the laptop area closed while on your back. The upper accessories area is large enough for a book or two + laptop charger, some snacks, and more (without becoming overly crowded).
There are 3 small front pockets too, good for batteries, memory cards, and other small items. It also has a water bottle holder if that's your thing (and it zips shut so it cannot get snagged when not in use).
The camera compartment is well padded and would easily fit my XT + 28-75 lens, my 17-35 lens, a flash and a few other things.
