First off, let me say that I have a limited budget, and I'd been considering a more affordable but smaller photo backpack, but then I saw that this one had everything I needed for a very reasonable price:

1. Room for multiple lenses
2. Laptop compartment (up to 15")
3. Plenty of room for other personal items, i.e. iPod + accessories, laptop speakers, small books, phone, etc.
4. Water-resistant fabric. I have yet to actually test this feature, but it's something I'll definitely be taking advantage of in the future, because I occasionally go on camping trips.

I use this to store and tote around my Nikon D90 with 18-105mm VR, and eventually a few extra lenses when I can get them. The main camera compartment is actually somewhat big, so a large DSLR like the D3s would probably fit quite snugly.
Some have said that there are no tripod straps; there are, you just have to look around. While they're not meant for tripods, the two buckles that secure the flap at the bottom can easily be used to attach a small to midsize tripod, just not for long periods of time. After a while, they will start to loosen by themselves, but it's definitely better than nothing. One last thing: the laptop compartment is great for carrying books that aren't very thick, so it's not just for laptops.
All in all, its a great pack, and I'd recommend it to anyone wanting to carry more than just their camera around.

I've taken this on several trips already. It has enough room for a laptop, a camera with two lenses (maybe 3), a flash, filters and miscellaneous accessories. My chief complaint is that there isn't really anywhere to strap a tripod, but it's really not made for that. It's a great travel backpack and fits my 15" laptop perfectly.

Roomy enough for 2 zoom lenses, a fixed lens, SB-600 flash, filters, battery chargers, extra gear and a water bottle. Almost a perfect camera back-pack. A tripod strap/holder would make it perfect. I am very pleased with the performance of this product.

I love this bag! It's roomy enough for my photo (camera body, flash, and 3-4 lenses)and pc gear, and has a pouch to hold extra stuff (like keys and such)! It's well constructed and gives me a good sense of security... and its not the least uncomfortable to wear!

This is the handiest pack I own. I've tried so many packs (have a closet full) and this is the best. Great for air travel as it is small enough to fit overhead, has great access to my pro SLR with 18-200 mounted lens without opening the rest of the equipment. Holds laptop, and monopod also. Well made, comfortable to wear--weight distributed over BOTH shoulders and waist. Couldn't be happier with the bag.

What I really like about this product is that I don't have to carry both a laptop bag and a camera bag when I travel. It's just the right size for a camera, a couple of lenses, a flash, etc., and a laptop. On top of that, it's easy to access the main camera compartment without opening up the whole bag.
