Got this as a second smaller travel bag for vacation. I like the extra storage area at the top for video camera and non camera items. Great carry on and snugly fits below airline seats. Fits my 40D/battery grip with smaller lens 24-100mm or 12-24mm. Room also for my 100-400 but not attached. Can carry all this and external flash. Also like the digi camo color. Don't have laptop but can use that storage for carrying flat or folded items. I had returned size below, as it would not fit all my camera gear stated above.
I use this bag to travel from home to school and also when I go out. It is nice because it does not look like a camara or computer bag but does have a few problems. It holds a ton of camera supplies and a computer easy but does have some problems if you want to carry anything other than a few small items. THe non-camera section could be better but the bag as a whole is very well designed.
for a photo backback, it really doesnt get much better than this for travel. you have a large compartment that will hold several lenses and a full size body, and a top compartment for storing anything else you want, a sweatchirt, lunch, other accessories, you name it!. it can be a bit hard to do quick lens changes, but fro travel, its great.
Its ok. Not brilliant. It is comfortable for me when hiking and I'm pretty big.. 6'3"
One issue is you have to lay it on the potentially wet ground to open it, so you get a wet back when you put it back on.
I found the camera section hard to open and close. The zips aren't that easy because of the curve they follow and also the big snap buckle at the top tends to get inside the bag under the camera.
It is also really easy to it up with the camera section open and have everything fall out. These are mostly criticisms of the basic type of bag rather than this specific model.
It is nicely made but I had one of the waist buckles fall off and get lost at some point which is annoying.
My biggest gripe is it doesn't have any small pockets on the outside. I'd like to see a small pocket on the outside for storing a pen, passport, travel documents etc... it is supposed to be the "adventurer" after all.
Great backpack, little bigger than expected. on the pricey side, but great for protecting expansive DSLR during bike rides, hikes. Plenty of room for (D)SLR with a battery pack, couple lenses, battery charger and batteries. neat way to store the memory. nice laptop pocket. not tested under severe weather conditions (not sure how waterproof this backpack is)
