How to use: Great for rolling your primary equipment with the back-up camera & flash equipment along with the MacBook.

Great about it: Easily customizable. Still playing with the configuration & get it just right for my use.

Not so great: Tripod accessory not intuitive and plastic hook broke during first use, but Think Tank promptly sent a replacement quickly.

Not my first Think Tank product & won't be my last! Make great products!

I use this bag to transport my equipment to my shooting location and then transer needed equipment to my Think Tank belt system. The quality of this bag is excellent. It rolls nicely and can be carried on the back when necessary (although a bit heavy). I can fit everything I need in it. It holds my 2 Nikon D2X bodies, 2 SB800 flashes, 12-24mm, 24-85mm, 80-200mm 2.8, 400mm 3.5, and a 10.5mm fisheye lens. Plus extra batteries, filters, cables ect. I do not carry a laptop leaving the front pouch open for extra accessories. Overall, I highly recommend this bag.

I finally reached the point at which I didn't want to keep lugging a heavy shoulder bag plus extra cases and bags for the longer glass. I also wanted something that could fit in an overhead compartment. And the ability to convert to (an albeit very heavy) backpack is appealing, so this bag met almost all my requirements. The only caveat I offer is that putting in all my gear (Canon Mark IV and 7D, 70-200, 300 2.8, and several smaller lenses, TCs, flashes, etc.) is a tight squeeze. I'm not sure this really is a bag that can handle a big 300 AND everything else. It works for me, but just barely. The next size up would be just about perfect, but then you lose the straps and you're above carry-on specs.

I used to carry everything on my camera/backpack for easy transport thru airports and it gets heavy after carrying it for sometime. I used the airport carts to carry my backpack but they're cumbersome and less secure, specially when you want to checkout the duty free shops. The Think Tank Takeoff bag with its built-in wheels fixed that issue. You'll also get good examples from Adorama and Think Tank website on configuring your bag for different gears you might have. ps, It's not made in USA like I initially thought. It's made in Vietnam but still well made in accordance to Think Tank specifications

I spent hours and hours checking forums and comparing products (easier to pick out a car) - this was the winner.[...]The bag is very well made, and is the right size to fit the gear I need for wildlife photography. The computer area will hold a jacket and other items when I don't need the laptop. I don't plan on hiking with the bag fully loaded but I can if I need too. This was factor in picking this bag. I also like that the straps can be tucked into the bag so they don't create problems with air travel. Items are accessible when I am shooting from a vehicle. Very pleased and I am going to purchase a smaller Think Tank bag because of the quality of this bag and my very positive experience with Think Tank customer service.

This bag is just what I've been looking for. I can load it up and won't have to carry it through airports. Long telescoping handle, long enough for 6 footers. Plenty of room for laptop and lots of extra gear. Now I need to take a trip to try it out.

This is by far, the most versatile bag I've ever had. Very simple and a no brainer for a shooter on the go. I can zip through an airport, pop it in the overhead, fling it in the trunk and then strap it on my back. Works for me!!

Only thing manufacturer missed is making it easier to raise the cart handle, but this would in no way cause me to re-think purchase. After looking at every bag on the market this one does best what I need. Most of all, it provides security that most other companies do not build into their bags.
