Perfect size and fit for my EOS Rebel with 17-55mm lens and longer 70-300mm lens (the latter is my default). Hangs easily and comfortably without getting in the way, quick access to camera, shows minimal wear despite heavy use, fits easily under airplane seat; plenty of room to stuff small accessories (including a small pair of binoculars, and several garbage bags for emergency weatherproofing); and when traveling, I can easily shove in my battery charger and portable HD storage device. Convenient side pocket for airline tickets and maps, and a nice passport-sized inside pocket. Waist buckle useful for extra peace of mind when traveling in unfamiliar areas (where snatch theft might be a concern), and also for biking (though it doesn't like staying in the back, preferring instead to hang to the side -- this being the only minor downside I can find with this bag).
I thought it is not good one, because it comes with package kits, But when I open it I was surprised by size conveniences and everything. All of my club members are liked it.
i use this product on the mountain. its easy and comfortable to ski with and it isn't a hassel on the chairlifts.
Nice bag for my D80 plus two lenses and small accessories. It is worth the price.
Perfect size to carry the camera (D80), zoom (18-200 VR), and fast lens (50 1.8 AF) as well as the extra battery, and various odds and ends. Also gives you the ability to strap to your waist if you will be doing a lot of walking.
I have used this bag regularly for about 5 years when I need a compact bag for travel, including Alaska and Hawaii twice. It's getting frayed around the edges in contrast to a 17 yr old Tamrac that has seen a lot more mileage, but shows little wear. The Slinger is a great compact bag. It easily holds my D70 or D300 with attached 18-70mm lens and Nikon 80-400mm lens in adjacent cavity, plus space for filters. Or, holds Nikon 70-300mm and SB600 instead of the 80-400mm. Front & rear zippered pockets and pouches are great for extra stuff. The belt strap gives reasonably good balance, unlike the Pro version which tilts the bag away from the body. D-rings and stretchable mesh side pockets are useful for water bottle, flash unit case, etc. Negatives: the shoulder strap sometimes comes unhooked unexpectedly (I now always check it before "slinging" the bag over my shoulder.), the top cover flaps don't extend down along sides or front to offer real weather (moisture or dust) protection (That's why I carry a plastic trash bag in the back zipper pocket). The shoulder strap could use a bit more padding for comfort. Overall, however, the bag has an effective and efficient design.
This bag was developed with input from the famous Herb Keppler. So you know that it has to be good. Just the right storage area for an SLR and a lens or two, maybe a flash. Just what you will need for a day out. Very good bag, at a very good price.
This is a versatile bag. Lots of room and the compartments are adjustable to accommodate many combinations of accessories / lenses. It is lightweight and comfortable, perfect for long days.
I use this product on sporting event shoots
great bag, does everything it should
It is wide but not as much as regular camera bags so I can walk between people without hurting and molesting me or anyone. Still I can use it all the time to have my lenses , bateries and cards.
The only thing I would so to the bag is to add two 0-rings to the sides to install any regular bag strap.
I'm a bag-alcolic , you name it and I have had it---still I use the Slinger
i uses this bag every day. the bag forses me to take along only what i need and not to weight me down........ love this bag
Great bag for day tripping on vacation. Slim profile, and the waist strap really helps to distribute the weight. It's still pretty light but after a while even the lightest bag will begin to feel heavy. Could use more pockets and would like it even more if the top opened away from your body to make access easier and faster. Overall, a great choice.
The bag is well made. I thought it would be big enough to hold my Nikon d40 with 18-200 lens But it was too small. Otherewise this is a great bag and goes perfect with d40 and kit lens.
An excellent photo bag. I use it to carry my Canon S3 IS (ICAS3) w/ Raynox 52mm lens adapter (IRXRB52S2), a Canon Selphy CP 730 printer (ICACP730) w/ battery (ICANBCP2L), a D92-BZS slave flash, and a bunch of other accessories including at least 12 spare AA batteries w/ Targus AA charger (TGBC2600), SD cards, 2-4 52mm filters, notepad, Canon manual, cables, and lens cleaning kit. All fit quite happily together in the bag with room to spare.
I've gone through a few bags but this one provides quite a custom fit. On the downside, the belt seems a little low as the bag feels too top-heavy when just using the belt. The shoulder strap is very comfortable for moving around with the full bag all day.
This bag has been about perfect for me. I have the left handed version, and after a few months of having it I was still discovering things it had. I've used it to carry around a fair amount of gear. Most I've had in it is a Nikon D40 w/kit, 85mm f/2AIS, Minolta SRT200 w/45mm f/2, 135mm f/3.5, a flash, film, memory cards, and filters. It was a tight fit, but it worked.
I brought this bag after reading many good comments. But, when I received it I found the waist belt and the extra wide shoulder belt were a little bit cumbersome. Soon, I figured out I can hide the waist belt behind the zippered pocket. Further, I figured out I can even fold the shoulder strap down and put it behind the pocket nicely as well. Now, it is perfect!!! What a great design!!!

What a value! An expensive bag at an inexpensive price. Being left handed I have tried many bags that promise to be for both right or left handers but this is the first one that fulfills its promise to be "for left handed users!" Just big and padded enough for a camera, light meter and film for an outing and small and light enough to be comfortable and convenient. Thanks for a great bag and a great value!
Carries everything I need for the camera: batteries, power cord, lenses, even the camera book.
One of the best single camera camera bags that I have ever owned. Easily holds my DSLR, flash and lens. Great for when you need very few accessories and are on the go. Lightweight yet extremely durable would definitly purchase again.

Bought this bag mainly to use when carrying equipment on the go (vacations, trips etc) and have wound up using it as my main bag. Granted, the space is a bit limited, but it's not meant to be a carry all.
Currently I have a 300D, kit lens, Sigma 100-300, Canon 50mm, Tamron 17-50 and Speedlight in the main compartment (it's tight, but it closes) and various cables, cards and accessories in the zipper pockets.
Build quality is great, looks are....well, who buys a camera bag for looks?...
The slinger idea is a good one, but it can get a little uncomfortable after carrying it for a long time. Example, on a trip to NYC I carried it packed out for 4 or 5 days, most all day, walking the entire time. That got to be a little much, but I do tend to overpack my bag and take too much in the hopes of having everything I need. I would think with a little more restraint, just carrying a body, flash and a couple of lenses that it would be much more comfortable.
For my habits, the sling tends to bit into my shoulder and the weight makes my shoulders and upper back a little sore after a few hours. Again, that may be more my fault than anything.
It's also a little difficult to get to items in the bottom of the bag without taking it off. My main purpose in buying the bag was to have my gear at my fingertips at all times. The body is exactly that, but it can be hard to dig a lens out when you're holding your camera in one hand and reaching into the bag with the other while it's around your shoulder.
Overall, I have to say this is the best bag I've had for all around use. Beats a backpack in every way except the amount of gear it holds, and is much more comfortable than a simple bag with a shoulder strap.
When I travel lite this is the bag I take. Took it on vacation to NYC with a flash and one lens.
It has travelled to Europe and stores my cameras when not in use. It is a great bag. For a large DSLR it is a little too small, get the bigger one. Otherwise, it has met all of my needs carrying and storing two digital P&S plus batteries, memory cards, and charger.
I've had this bag for over 3 years and it has accompanied me on many trips and outings. Its durable construction continues to hold up with frequent use. The bag will hold and allow convenient access to all the equipment most people need on a typical outing. I typically load it up with a DSLR, attached 70-300 zoom, a 100mm macro, and one other lens (usually a short zoom). The closure flap's adjustable strap even allows me to take a heavy 135-400 zoom if I choose to. Under the top flap is a secondary zippered mesh storage pouch that holds my lens cleaning kit. In front of the main compartment there are two pouches, the larger is zippered with an elasticized mesh pouch inside. I keep a couple of packs of extra batteries in the main section of the larger pouch, and an extra memory card and a remote cable in the mesh section. The outermost pouch is a small velcro-fastened pouch that holds a wallet, keys, and change. Between the outer pouches and the main compartment is a zippered slide-in pouch that comfortably holds my two filter wallets and their enclosed 12 filters. Mesh pouches on either side of the bag can hold a water bottle and a flash. The shoulder strap has a curved design that allows you to sling the bag a little to the rear, so that the weight rests on your hip (hence the name "Slinger,). The length of the shoulder strap is adjustable, so with a little attention anyone should be able to devise a comfortable fit. The high quality zippers all have attached nylon pulls to make them easy to find and operate one-handed. A lot of thought went into the design of this bag. Highly recommended.
It met my expectations. There's a spot for each piece. I love the bag, but the strap is a little difficult if you want to hang it over your shoulder. It's made to wear across your body. Love all the pockets!
used daily, love the color and style
I enjoy it very much, use it a lot and I'm intending to buy the bigger version too
I bought this bag for someplace to hold both my SLR and my medium-size digicam. It works beautifully for that, with space with memory cards, batteries, film, manuals, and a tabletop tripod. The single strap is very nice for "slinging" over a shoulder. After almost a year of use, it looks as good as new and nothing has broken. The only drawback it that it is large to carry everyday and a bit too much bag for just heading out for the day with a digicam.

I used this bag while travelling internationally for 2 years. I could fit a DSLR with lens atttached, 2 lenses, flash, batteries, memory, filters, a clif bar and a watter bottle, and a passport in the special passport pocke (plus plane tickets in the secret side pocket. I really love it, and I found it fit my needs 95% of the time. It is much better than a backpack because you can sling it around when you need something, but you can also use the waist belt to take the weight off your shoulder. You can switch shoulders if you need to. It did make my shoulder a little sore after a day of use, but I think you could easily add some padding to the strap. It also has reflective stuff on it to make you more visible to cars at night.

This bag is not made for a womans frame. It doesn not take into consideration that the back curves and so instead of the bag resing on your back it just hangs there while it puts all the weight onto one shoulder. And with the strap being too wide it cuts into the shoulder... Its affordable and keeps ok but it really hurst to wear and there is no way to switch shoulders, your always pulling down one shoulder and that does all types of uncomfortable things to your back

This bag is one of the better designed, to carry either: 1)one SLR/DSLR (one lens attached, two others) or 2) A P&S together eith a small camcorder, plus a flash, manual, two water bottles and other small accessories in a relatively small bag that can be carried in several ways. Granted, it does not look like a pro bag, but if you want 'Pro', Billingham is an option with mucho dinero.
This one is moderately priced, well designed with a number of compartments to carry various items, slings easily, contents are readily accessible.
After buying bigger and bigger bags to carry all of my lenses and cameras, I realised that on any particular outing, I never needed more than one camera, two or three lenses and a flash, and this bag is perfect for that. I can also fit in, on family trips, my pseudo-DSLR and the camcorder, which is even better.
Having had a Slinger for almost two years, I really do appreciate its size, weight and flexibility.
