I bought this bag as a replacement for a backpack style carrier I had because I wanted easier access to my equipment. It has been an excellent purchace so far - I use it to carry my D70, flash and an extra lens. If you need to carry more than that, you might want to consider something bigger, but for what I need, this is perfect with plenty of space for equipment and smaller gadgets like extra memory cards and a mini tripod.
