The Tamrac folding wallet has excellent external and internal construction which affords good protections for the filters.

This lens filter wallet from Tamrac is a great addition to my gear. I can't believe I used to carry all those filters in their own separate plastic boxes! With this pouch, which holds 8 filters up to 82mm in size, I added my 52mm-, 72mm, and 77-mm filters, a stepping ring, and even backup rear lens caps and body cap, and folded the pouch over 4 times. Before using this bag, I had an entire section of my bag, which now houses a lens, dedicated to filters! Now, I place this wallet into the top portion of my camera bag, completely out of sight and out of the way of everything else.
The only problem I have with this wallet is that I question whether the plastic material inside each pouch, which seems a bit stiff and abrasive to my way of thinking, might be harmful to the surface of the filters--especially the multi-coated filters that would cost the most to replace.
Provided I am able to continue using the wallet without damaging the surface of the filters (and, so far, no visible damage), then I would raise my rating to 5-star without question. But only time can tell whether that will be the, um... "case."
