Yes, I would recommend this to a friend
I got this as a replacement for a missing strap on a bag that I bought used. I put in on an F-2 and it works better than the original when the bag is loaded with F2.8 zooms and a couple of professional bodies. The stick or whatever the "backbone" of this strap is does take some of the pressure off your hand compared to the original hand strap.
