Comments about Op/Tech Op/Tech Dual Harness, Carries Two Cameras or Binoculars, Size Regular, Black.:

I have 2 Nikons with a 18-200 lens and a 200-400 lens. I was constantly having to carry both around my neck because I wanted to be prepared for different shots. this way, I am able to carry both without breaking my neck. The only thing I wish is that it was a tad more adjustable since I wanted my friend to get one but she feels that it is too long for her arms. It fits mine fine but I am 5' 4.

I shoot a lot of "on the go" type events where you're constantly on the move. Having a wide rang of framing choices dictates the need for two bodies with lenses that cover the widest possible set of ranges. This harness system allows me to field two bodies with varying lenses as mentioned. The design of the harness where the two cameras hang under the arms also allow me to wear my camera backpack (LowePro AW) and still be able to get at both cameras. I am even able (with some juggling) to slide the backpack to the front to access the contents without having to remove the cameras on the harness.

The ability to snap the cameras off of the harness with the clips and then simply re-attach them to a single neck strap is also a wonderful feature. When I have to shoot with my cameras on a tripod I can simply un-snap them from the harness and then clip the two ends closed to give me a very shot handle for the equipment without getting in the way of the tripod or it's adjustments. When I have to move equipment to my smaller Tamrac System 6 bag, I simply use the short handle configuration of the straps and then clip the premium Optek neck strap to the outside of the bag to prevent over crowding in the bags inner areas.

I have also worn the stap with cameras under a simple rain poncho allowing me to take quick snaps even in drizzly conditions.

After a season of hard use the staps and buckles show some wear but are still quite serviceable. I can see this equipment lasting for several seasons yet to come.

I bought this from Adorama more than a month ago. I looked at several other systems and after much research this appeared to be not only the cost-effective choice, but the practical choice.

I'm a former photojournalist (I was what they called a double-threat man -- a combination reporter and photographer). And I would have loved to have something like this back in that day. It was difficult juggling the notebook and the cameras at a news event. This would have made my life so much easier then.

Now, as a sometimes artistic photographer and a sometimes photojournalist, this system works just great for me with my two Canon 40Ds (one with battery grip) and whatever lenses I happen to cart along. Most of the time it is the 24-105 and the 70-200 f/2.8 IS. Other times it is the 24-105 and the 17-40. With the 70-200 I religiously use a monopod. If there was a negative it is that this harness becomes more difficult to use with the monopod. But it is really just a matter of proper adjustment.

Nonetheless, I find it very convenient to have my cameras easily available at my side. Like the other reviewer, I haven't had any problem with the camera banging together. But also like the other reviewer, I've set my straps so that I can keep my hands on the cameras as I move.

I've also bought Op/Tech straps to easily go back and forth to individual straps and the harness. This is extremely cost effective. And these things are built with quality. I'm very happy with the individual straps and the harness.

In fact, I'm shooting a major music show that will be featuring Lee Oskar this coming weekend and I plan on using this harness because I trust it. I know, from my experience already, that this harness will do the job and I'll get my shots without any fumbling or awkwardness.

I had desired a double-camera harness and, initially, there were three which grabbed my attention. One of the three was commanding (IMO) too much of a cost factor for what was offered. Another one was very nice, but I didn't like the idea of securing my cameras to it via the tripod connector. So, I thought that I'd give the OP/TECH Double Camera Harness a shot. I mean, it looked like it would serve the purpose well and, then too, the price was appealing.

Well, the harness arrives, and I immediately see that it is, indeed, well constructed. I have been pleased with my other camera straps from them (I have two others), and I was no less pleased with this version.

It's adjustability ensures a great fit, and the comfort of this thing is just great. I have read where some users registered complaints about their cameras bumping into one another, when wearing this harness. I don't know what type of activity they might be involved in, when experiencing that, but I have not experienced anything even close to the like. Yes, there is some sway involved - and the degree of that depends upon how low a user might wish to have his cameras slung. But even at their lowest points, I don't find anything even close to what has been complained about.

Personally, when moving about, I like to keep a hand on each of my cameras, and don't find that to be a nuisance at all. This harness does the job it was intended for - and does it very nicely. Even when out & about with just one camera, I switch the harness to its single-camera mode, and use it in that fashion. Though their shoulder/neck straps are more comfortable than any other straps I have used, I can't even begin to describe the comfort level of toting your camera(s) around on this harness.

I am SO glad that I gave it a go. And if you are looking for a very well made camera harness that is such a comfort to use (and one that you won't have to reach too deep in the pocket for), then do yourself a BIG favor and check THIS ONE out. You won't be sorry.
