Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Slinsghot 102 AW Series - Black:

I purchased this because I was looking for a small bag to carry my Pentax k-x and a few lens while I was bicycling. I needed something that was comfortable, small and light. I originally thought of getting a backpack but the more I researched this the more I came to appreciated the added benefits:Easy access to the cameraWeather proofingLCD screen protectionStorage options for lens, SDHC cardslightweightI had trouble finding this model locally. Most stores if they carried it at all carried the 100 or 200 model not the new improved version. I also checked some other brands that not only can be used as sling but also as a backpack but those were even harder to find locally. Also the other brands just looked bigger than I wanted and I feared the versatility would be a drawback in functionality; the jack of all trades master of none syndome. The sling fits very comfortably on my back and with the straps adjusted just right I can have very little weight on my shoulder. I have ridden on 2 bicycle rides in excess of an hour each and found it comfortable. I did notice some soreness on my shoulder but I am particularly susceptible shoulder pain and it was not bad at all. It feels very well made and I really like the small size. I know the 202 is not much more money and carries more but I just didn't want to carry such a large bag and I don't need the storage. I can carry the following it Pentax DSLR plus lens (35-70)3 lens (18-55,50mm, 70-210)FlashFilters, SDHC cards etc..I did canabalize another bag so I can carry the three lens in the main compartment instead of just two. However I usually don't carry all of the above; My standard package is the camera and three lens, leaving the 70-210 and flash in another bag with my film camera. This way is if I going out and think I will need the other equipment I take both bags in the car.Highly recommendedPS I purchased this from Andorama [...] Recommend them as well.

If you are on the go with the family this is the bag for you. I used this bag for 4 days in DisneyWorld and from the airport to every theme park this bag is the only way to carry your gear. From grabbing my telephoto lens to storing my camera (a Canon Rebel) in a flash this is the way to go. I never have had to use the built-in rain cover but it is nice to know it is there if I need it. The bag is so comfortable you forget you have it on your back all day. Buy it!

Comments about Lowepro Lowepro Slinsghot 102 AW Series - Black:

This is avery well made pack and is a really good idea, it's just not designed well. It's awkward. It can only go over your left sholder, sits too high on the chest when spun around making it awkward to get camera in and out. If you want to get anything other than the camera out, the bag has to come off (I guess it doesn't but you run the risk of all your equipment spilling out). All of this might be personal preference, but the thing about the actual design I don't like the most is the inability to rearrange the interior. It has the standard removable velcro wallls, but only thin strips of velcro on the interior sides of the bag, so they can really only go in one place; so unless you only have two extra lenses and they are that size thay will most likely bump around a bit. And the camera sits sideways in the bag when it's on your back with no support on the body, so the weight of the camera is on the lens attachment (unless your camera body is 10" wide). I was excited about this pack but it's going back.
