I use the product to make sure that when I enter photographic contest, I apply for job assignments and I submit my work and when I order prints from custom lab I am confident that the prints I get matches the image I see in my monitor. Before I trusted my lab to color correct and that's it. I submitted a few images I shot of a high school football game and it was reviewed as not properly color corrected. I learned my lesson and that is why I bought and use this product now. Great hardware and software- very easy to use. Of course, If I want to print my own images I can easily upgrade.

I use this product to establish correct Adobe RGB color on an LG LCD monitor that I use for Lightroom and Photoshop. The instructions were clear and the steps easy to perform. I've seen others complain about the suction cup but even that worked perfectly.

I use this to calibrate monitors both at home and at the office. I thought my manual calibration was close but this was so much better. Shadow detail, overall colour and matching between monitors make this essential to my workflow.

Spyder, specially the Elite one is a big change in my post production process. I use to calibrate my displays in the office and I take it with me wherever I take my laptop computer to touch my photos in the field. The ambient light measuring and calibration is very useful as well. Particularly in the work conditions that light is changing. DON'T forget to update the software to the latest version.

It's e-z to you and fast . only thing I want one that would also do my printer and I can not see where the spider dose that . But as for as working for my screens it works great . yes I would say buy it if you want some thing cheep in price and that works fast .It could use a bag or box to put it in , and more more in there booklet on how to use .

Awesome product, used to calibrate my dual lcd monitor setup (different BenQ models) which has long been off in terms of colour, contrast and brightness for each monitor. Spyder 3 Elite fixed all that. Included cd-rom version software is outdated though with a bug causing calibration to be lost on winxp restart. But updating to latest version of the software from their web site fixed that issue. Suction cup doesn't stick much but using counter weight work swell. Calibration time seems a bit long but haven't used Spyder 2 to compare, so I guess these are the only issues I had. But so happy to have bought this as now both lcd monitors are nearly identical in colour, constrast and brightness.

I could not get this software to load properly on a Mac G5 or 17" MacBook Pro. IT could not get this product to function. [...] My recommendation is to buy from another monitor calibration manufacturer.

MUCH FASTER AND MORE ACCURATE THAN SPYDER 2. I USE 3 LCD MONITORS ON ONE COMPUTER, ALL 3 ARE DIFFERENT MODELS, BUT NOW A PHOTOGRAPH LOOKS THE SAME ON ANY MONITOR.

I've been using mine for a few weeks now and I'm pretty pleased; now that my monitor is calibrated, prints look a lot more like what I expect!

The user interface can be a bit confusing, but once you learn the terminology and poke through the menus you can figure it out; the on-line help does help!

It's got a built-in ambient light sensor, so it should be connected when you're working - this lets it warn you if the current ambient is far enough from what it was at calibration to make the calibration invalid. But this means that it's not really intended to be moved from one machine to another.

The software has a periodic reminder to recalibrate, and on my new monitor I've found that it does drift a bit over time; so far recalibrating every two weeks seems to be about right.

Software was simple to install and easy to use. I calibrated my Dell PC and my MacBook Pro. I was surprised at the difference between the before and after on both machines. I use the Mac to do a lot of photography work and needed to be sure that the colors were accurate.
My only complaint would be that the package it comes in is not suitable for storing the Spyder when I am not using it. I had to find an old shoebox for that purpose.

Software is easy to use, and reliable. I have used it on three platforms now. Mac/Vista/XP I like that the monitoring software checks the adjustments in the background and prompts you to re-calibrate the display. Double thumbs up for this easy to use and accurate product!

Using this monitor calibrator eliminates one source of error in ensuring my final prints are color correct. I am always trying to improve my skills and understanding about my photography hobby. Using this calibrator added one more level in my ability to control the final outcome of my photographs. I only wish I could have afforded the printer calibrator. I was tempted to give this a five star, but I will need to spend more time using the calibrator to ensure there are no short comings yet to be discovered.
