Any effect in this software can be accomplished in Photoshop alone if you have the skill, but there is a great saving in time by using the Nik software. You can compare different effects very quickly, as well as applying the effects globally or locally. This is the full package; there are others with fewer FX and there are some here that you won't use, but for me this was well worth it.

Yes! I have actually recommended this to all of my friends who are professional photographers and digital artists. I use Nik Color Pro 2 plug in for Photoshop for subtle light adjustments, amazing color corrections and digital artistic creations. This product is incredibly easy to use and effects can be applied to the whole photo or painted in with the photoshop brushes. Essential and fun.
