Why does Kodak consistantly discontinue items ?
They need to keep repeat customers more than newer ones. If you discontinue items at least give US the loyal folks be able to buy the media packages at a reasonable cost as well as continue to make them available.
Otherwise I will never buy another kodak product either
I bought the Kodak 1400 printer in January. It has already been discontinued. I had to return the first printer to Kodak because it simply didn't work. They were very nice in getting me a replacement. It often works and the prints are very nice but with the printer being discontinued, there will come a day when I won't be able to buy paper for it. I will never buy another Kodak product again.
I think this is great product and is sad that Kodak decide to discontinuing the 1400 printer I hope will keep making the paper
I have 2 more Epson printers but the quality and the look of the photograph of the 1400 is much superior of any inkjet
I bot the printer and dwspite easy setup, had troubles from the start. Kodak had to replace the printer. Now I can be 90% sure a print comes out but with both printers (driver?) I have serious issues with my USB ports. When printer is connected, all other USB devices disconnect. I require a reboot. Lastly, I saw on another site, the 1400 is being discontinued. If so, it'll be the last Kodak product I ever buy. Quality of prints, otherwise, very good.
I am a Pro Photographer always looking for a printer that has ease of use. This printer has been a dream come true. The photos from the 1400 are the photos that I give to my customers. I use the 1400 in my studio lab. It was easy to set up. I buy lots of paper because this is a printer that gets used a lot. 8x10's, 5x7's, 4x5's and 4x6's are printed through Photoshop Picture package. No misprints, no reprints, no hangs ups. Beautiful rich color. No ink cartridges. The ribbon and paper come in the same box. When the paper is finished, you load up ribbon and paper both at the same time. No guessing if you might run out of ink. I need to buy one more of these to take on location with me. It is in the budget. Absolute love it.
