I go through the trouble of color balancing the monitor, running Photoshop CS5, the last thing I would do for all that effort is use third party ink, unless it is certified (like Pantone for example). My best results on the Canon printer to date are with Canon ink and paper, especially in the shadow details.[...]

Used for Pixma 9000 pro printer. I wouldn't trust any other ink other than the Canon CLI8 OEM ink. Adorama give the best price by far of all the distributors. Of course I would like the price to be even better because I go through a lot of ink.
The output using these inks for both business graphics and for personal photo is exceptional all the way up to 13 x 19.

I use the Canon CLI-8 ink for professional quality photographs. The vibrant colors are accurate renditions of the originals. The ink dries rapidly. The prints can be matted and framed in just two or three hours. There are no negatives.

I haven't had to replace any ink cartridges yet as I have only printed 25 photos so far but this way I'll have any & all for replacement when time comes! Once I figure out how long most colors are used, I'll order individual cartridges. But, this is the least expensive you can buy them and Adorama hast the lowest prices !

Beautiful Prints but if you make many medium to large sizes (8x10 in. and larger) count on spending LOTS of money on ink. Most dealers charge $100 for a complete set and individual cartridges are even more expensive. With Epson and Canon printers in this class (13x19 in.), if you really do much photographic printing, it's probably best to go ahead and purchase the larger 17 in. printers which contain much more ink per cartridge.

Great ink for a great printer. I looked hard at Epson & HP & Dell & Lexmark before choosing the Canon Pixma Pro9000 printer for my Photography business. Best value while providing better than average quality prints that last.

Adorama has the lowest normal price, then when on sale you get 8 colors for the same price local stores sell a 4-pack, that's a deal I cannot pass up. Keep it up Adorama!

There is absolutely no comparison between original Canon inks and those "generic" inks. Original Canon Inks produce extremely vivid and crisp colors on any media your printer can handle.

I use the Canon Model Pro9000. I have had it for two months, printing jpg's to psd enlargements, tif's, etc. Color is consistent with proper calibration of monitor. Only wished there was more ink in the cartridge. I looked for quite some time, on the web and found Adorama to have the fairest price, especially buying the 8-pack of cartridges.
