Cartridges seem to dry out without frequent use. Good thing is they are now individually sealed in airtight plastic. Value pack, less expensive than buying individually.

photographs are fantastic, color perfect, ink only lasts long enough for about four 8.5 x 11 pictures which makes it very expensive.Occasionally I can get a few more pictures out of the ink if all the pictures have different colors in them.
This limits how often I can print or how many larger pictures I can do.

Much of my printing requires good facial tones (kids and grand kids and wife and such). I wondered about the 9500 and the Canon inks at first, because landscapes look fine but facial tones not so good (people looked sunburned). I thought my calibrated monitor was all I needed to produce great people prints but I was mistaken. After considerable research I found [@] which explains the problem I was having and the solution. Now I can see the subtle differences on my monitor and know how to correct facial tones before printing. The Canon Pixma and the Canon Lucia inks now give me results I can be really proud of.

Have been putting this type of ink in my canon pixma pro 9500 printer for over a year now and would not want to switch, printer and ink work great for me.This Ink is suppose to be long lasting and with the paper choice I use with the printer ( CANON'S PHOTO PAPER PLUS SEMI-GLOSS)I get excellent results, try it some time!

Everything works as it should. Canon is to be admired for making cartridges that actually work, the reviews of Epson frequently mention chips on the cartridges that do not validate correctly in the printer when replaced. I, like John-2 above, only wonder why some of the cartridges were wrapped in plastic and some weren't. Didn't appear to matter though, they all worked fine.

I picked up a Canon 9500 about 6 mons ago and really like some of its features. The B/W capability is just amazing. Color on the Matt papers is outstanding as well. The weak point is when printing on semi-gloss or glossy paper. Canon doesn't even recommend glossy with this printer. Even on semi-gloss the darks look a little funky due to the lack of a gloss optimizer. So far the inks are standing up and looking outstanding.

Adorama came to the rescue. I purchased a Canon Pixma Pro 9500 printer from Canon as a replacement for my malfunctioning printer. I was discouraged when I found out that Best Buy and Staples Office Supply (where I usually buy my ink cartridges) did not carry ink for the new Pro 9500. I was suddenly thrown into the world of professional printers. Adorama carried the ink cheaper than Canon[...] and when you use 10 cartridges you spend a lot of money.[...] Great doing business with the guys at Adorama!
