This is an amazing heavyweight paper with a beautiful texture. I work primarily in pencil and watercolor, with gouache and acrylic elements added to my paintings. I paint all my originals on Rives BFK print making paper, so I wanted something that would match the weight and texture of the originals when I printed them out. I certainly found it in this paper.
When I sell the prints that I've printed on this Montval Torchon paper at art fairs, I'm always asked if they are the originals. Only when people see that there are multiples of a painting do they realize they are actually prints, and I immediately receive compliments on how amazing they look. I am very picky and a complete perfectionist, so i couldn't settle for anything less. This paper makes a brush stroke look like you just painted over the print.
We also printed color photos of my husbands sculpture for his portfolio on this paper. I've never seen a photograph that I took myself turn out so beautifully. I hung some of the pictures up in my studio, they're so gorgeous.
An investment in this paper would be money well spent.
