Comments about Hewlett-Packard Hewlett Packard - HP Premium Plus Satin Photo Quality Inkjet Paper, 286 g/m2, 11.3 mil, 24" x 50' Roll:
This is an excellent paper for dye based HP inkjet printers like the DesignJet 130. Color differentiation and subtlety are very good and the paper is very durable and resistant to mechanical damage. It is not resistant to any moisture getting on the surface, though. HP claims at least an 82 year archival life when used with matched HP inkjets. The HP supplied ICC color profiles are very workable when used with CS3 and a calibrated monitor. Be sure to use application controlled color management, best print quality, and maximum detail settings to avoid any lines, though. With correct settintgs and calibration, the prints beat any Type C prints that I have ever seen, at least in the larger sizes. I really like this paper for color work but find that the HP printer-paper combination does not work reliably for black and white photo grade work.
