...but not great either. This stuff is certainly better than Ilford's "Classic Gloss". But it still has slight problems soaking ink up in the areas of heaviest application. Even with all of the profiles from Ilford, and using the settings they recommend, shadow detail is not great on this paper.
Note that this is using a Canon Pro 9000. Results may differ on other printers.
By the way, I hate to have to write this review because I LOVE Ilford traditional photographic paper. It's the only thing I use in the dark room.
Bottom line is that I may continue to use this paper in non-critical large format applications, since small shadow details are not as critical there. But I'd never use it for smaller work.
I was led to believe that this was a metallic paper, similar to Kodak Endura Metallic paper. It's not. I've made a few prints from my Pixma 9000 and it seems to be decent stuff, but not what I was looking for. I'm not seeing the "pearl" qualities.
I thought this paper was great the price was great and had great results. I use with canon1990 printer and even used after market ink my pictures turned out great.
