So far, I've only used this to print black and white text. But for that, it is fast, quiet, and reliable. And I could fit it into the laptop case I already owned. Expensive, yes; but that's the price you pay for portability. Flimsy construction? Well, I guess so, but when the emphasis is on light weight, small size, great print quality, and reliability -- who cares? Just take gentle care of it and it will last as long as you need it to. One Caveat: Make sure you follow the instructions as far as powering it down (by pressing the power button) before unplugging it. That puts a cap in place on the print head to keep ink from drying out in it and plugging it. You probably won't be using this printer everyday, so this is an especially critical step.
