Purchased to replace a now deceased Pixma iP3000, and the iP4200 is better, faster, and quieter. Setup was a breeze once I figured out I could use the Vista-based iP4500 driver available at the Canon website (there is currently no Vista-based driver for the iP4200). The only long-term downside that I can see is that the ink (because of the chip in the cartridge) is roughly 60% more expensive. Still a great little machine, though, in spite of that minor annoyance.

Wanted to replace worn out ip4200 with the same product. Adoroma was one of the few suppliers carrying the product. [...]reasonable price. This product is excellent photo printer with individual color cartridges - which saves money over the all in one cartridges. First printer was excellent value and this printer appears to be the same.

I like the printer you can bypass the computer
by the Pic Brigde ready and Kodak C613 camera.
