This is the jolly best card I have ever had in my life. I have been shooting with Kingston and some jolly good fella gave me the sandisk 2GB card to try it and God bless him... I have never looked back. I have been carrying around 4 of these 16GB cards and they have never failed me. The rebate has always arrived without any problems so I honestly don't understand about these whiny babies saying they did not receive the rebate. I have gotten all 3 of mine !! As long as you follow the instructions on the rebate form, there is no reason to be denied. Thanks San & Ado. Pls reduce the prices of extreme IV 16GB CF cards :D

card has very good performance, but im not recommeding it because of the borderline 'fraudulent' rebate practices

I bought several of the 16 GB Extreme cards for my biz and have used them for thousands of images since their purchase.
I started digital capture when a "large & fast" card was 128mb and 4x. For less than the cost of this card, I'm running huge, fast and reliable cards suitable for whatever I can throw at it.
It's really nice not to have to reload a card in the middle of shooting a wedding or hanging out the open door of a light aircraft!
I agree with the comments about the rebate, but Sandisk sent me a postcard in the male about 8 weeks later tell me that the rebate was invalid. After spending 1 hour on the phone with them, the finally gave me another promo, but with smaller rebate check. Sandisk has horrible rebate customer service. I purchased 3 sandisk products. 3/3 were had problems with the rebate. My wife says if I want to purchase it, assume that no rebate will come - it's icing on the cake if it does.

You will have to fight for rebate. They automatically rejected both my last rebate requests claiming I didn't enclose UPC (of course I did). This practice is borderline fraudulent. Never had a problem with any other vendor. Beware and keep copies of submission. You'll need it.
First, don't get fooled by cards that say they are faster - they aren't. Most of them may have faster read times, but are much slower (50% or more) on writes. Frankly, as a photographer, I care how fast the card writes in my camera. I have much more time to relax when reading from the card to my computer later on.[...]

The card is great, never had a problem with it.
The rebate check takes MONTHS to get to you, and then you have to MAIL IT IN to redeem it!!! Forget placing an order online, you have to write a letter describing what you want to order, put the check in the mail, and pray that it does not get lost.
Seriously. If you are going to give a rebate, give a rebate already!
