[...]this is fast a reliable almost had it for a month the. my friend had one for a few month never failed. both of us using the canon g9 requiring fast witting time which is capable of.
For [$] a piece with bonus SDHC usb adapter, its already a superb deal by itself. By shortening RAW write time to 2-3 secs from 7-8, it adds battery life and convenience to using my Sigma DP-1 = Priceless.
Very happy with this 4GB card for my camera. Able to take lots of pics and video without constantly changing cards. I own many other Sandisk Ultra and Extreme cards & have never had any problems.
I had happy experience with a 2GB Sandisk Extreme III card for my pentax. Now update to 4GB. The low price is attractive plus a micro reader
[...]Sandisk all the way!
I bouhgt this card for my Canon S5 IS and its been great. Just throw it in the camera and forget it. It's big enough you can take loads of pics and still have tons of room if you decide you want to shoot some video.
I have always been skeptical of "high performance" memory cards, especially SanDisk (don't waste your money on the Ultra 2.0) but the Extreme III made me a believer. I tested this card against other "Class 6" and it left them in the dust. Yes, it is very fast, especially where it counts...when writing to the card. If your device can use this type of speed (i.e., DSLR) or you want the assurance the data is good, then this card is worth the premium. Also, this comes with the MicroMate reader, carry pouch and Rescue Pro SW. The SW is truly useful and came in handy for some vacation pics that become corrupted on another memory card (A-Data not SanDisk). All-in-all, a nice package. [...]
Great product. I use this card with my PentaxK10D and it has made my life much better. The read write speeds are incredible and has made my camera much faster not to mention the downloading of pictures to my computer is much faster also.
good bang for your buck
Fast, reliable, and a great deal. Couldn't ask for more.[...] I bought two. Am glad that I did, because I nearly filled 1 card during our recent trip to Old San Juan, P.R., and swapped to the spare when it was convenient to me. Came back with 1253 files between the two cards. Also shot Super Cross before the vacation and the speed was an advantage, letting my camera (Powershot S5) operate at full speed.
I bought this card to be able to use readyboost on my lenovo Z61M laptop so I could leave the card in card reader drive and not have a usb drive sticking out the side all the time. The system immediately recognized and accepted this card as compatible with readyboost. Success!
I use it in a Pentax K10D, excellent performance
I sell many things over the internet and it is such a hassle to go back and delete pictures as soon as I transfer them to my computer or upload them. With the 4gb Secure Digital Memory Card by Sandisk, I can keep tons of pictures on it and still have room to take new ones. I am currently using a 7.1MP Casio Exilim to take pictures of the items that I am selling, and even at the 7.1MP size with Fine Quality (the best) I can store over 900 pictures. It is a big step up from the 16MB card that came with my old camera and the 1GB that I only recently upgraded to.
The only downside is that when I inserted the card directly into the reader slot of my laptop, it did not recognize it like my previous cards. I have to use the reader that was included, plug that into the USB port, and insert my card in that. Small price to pay to access a ton of photos though.
Great reliablity and fast transfers
I like this great memory card. Great performance, fast, and reliable. I almost couldn't find anything that I don't like about this card. [...]
This product worked flawlessly in two different cameras (Canon SD870, S5 IS) and allows fast transfer speeds to/from computer.
Excellent card I love being able to get more pictures per card and not having to change my cards out so much. I also love the read/write speed, very fast.
This card is rated at 133X. Other manufacturers make 150X cards, but I have confidence in Sandisk, based on experience. The Extreme III is about three times faster than the Ultra II in storing large images in my camera, and unloads to the computer very quickly. Ignore reviewers who downgrade SDHC cards because they won't work in their older cameras or computers. Just make sure your camera is SDHC compatible to at least 4GB. The included reader will make it work in your computer.
SIMPLE AND EASY TO USE. GREAT PRODUCT. AWESOME PRICE. FAST TRANSFER RATE AND HUGE CAPACITY.
I use it for my Canon G9. It's very fast. No delay between shots. And with the card reader that came with it I can transfer my pictures from my Canon to my PC right away. I can also use it as a flash drive. Good value.
This card is really fast. Rated class 6 but manufacturer claims it is even faster. Small SDHC reader included is very convenient. Can't beat the value of the after rebate price.
Other cards I've seen that are close to this price are usually Class 2, so watch what you're buying.
Only regret is that I should have purchased more of these. The rebate is even better if you buy more than one. Unfortunately you cannot apply twice from the same household.
I have been using digital cameras since 1999 and this card made an incredible difference in the performance of my newest camera. I bought 2 of 4gb and plan to buy an 8gb for vacation.
It's a very fast SD. The bundled SDHC reader helps because none of my SD readers are compatible with SDHC.
Since 4GB SD exist, it would have been nice if Sandisk makes a 4GB SD that is compatible with older SD devices.
[$]The bundled reader makes it a even greater deal. I bought 2 and use them on a Nikon D80 and a Canon SD850IS. No problem on either. Highly recommended.
Got this card for my Pentax *ist DL. Couldn't really tell the difference in taking continuous shots because camera is not really fast itself, but it does let me take more shots in a row before slowing comparing to the regular 2Gb SD. Transfer rate over card reader to the computer is also very good.
I am big fan of Sandisk, i brought my 1st Sandisk 2GB Ultra II for my Canon S3. NOw i brought Canon S5 so thought of buying the SDHC Extreme and i waited for the offer. I used the 4GB SDHC extreme for my Canon S5 it was great and fats writing speed
Used for garmin nuvi 650. Very good performance.
It's the fastest SD card I've owned and have had no problems with it.
HC Card and reader, works in every computer I have tried so far - - xp, vista, server - - this is the first time I have done so well!
Fast, high capacity storage cards are required for taking good movies with digital cameras, many of which now allow movie clips limited only by storage available on the card. Speed is necessary for movies, as well as multiple sequential exposures. This card fits these requirements, and performs well.
I bought a couple of these cards and they are really fantastic. Fast, hold a ton, good value, came w/ a reader - can't ask for more. Great job SanDisk and Adorama!
Memory stores lots of pictures.
The card is undoubtedly fast and reliable. It comes with the tiny clear case as most SD cards do, but also comes with a neoprene holder that holds the card and the included SD to USB converter. This is a really nice package. My only complaint is the card is designed to run FAT or FAT32 file structure, which is inherently limited to 2GB capacity. New equipment like my nuvi 760 handle the 4GB card without a thought, but my older Konica Minolta Z5 wouldn't read the card because it is just too big. This is a problem with all high capacity cards I'm sure.
[...].This flash is "Extremely" fast. The included USB reader was a real bonus. Makes for a quick 4 gig flash drive.
I have been using the SanDisk 4 GB Extreme SDHC on my Canon S5 IS and it works extremely fast. The length of picture clips taken is now only limited by the Camera's capacity and not by the write speed of the card. Earlier, the capture used to stop every half a minute or so while the camera got busy moving the clip from its internal memory to the Card, now no such lag. Transferring pictures and movie clips to the computer was also extremely fast! The reader looks great and works great - would be useful if I buy more SDHC cards. Plan to use the Card and Reader together for moving large data between computers since they do the work much quicker than regular jump/thumb drives.
It came with a small zippered pouch with inside pockets; good for storing the reader and a couple of cards. Although, would suggest do not put the card directly in the pouch and do not leave it in the reader.
All i can say is fast FAST and FAAAAST!! Satisfied customer.
The write/read speed is very fast and it improves the quality of my photos when my auto flash is off on my canon sd750. I take much quicker photos for those moments you cannot miss. So far its reliable and I haven't faced any data corruption as other generic brands often have.
Grab these while you can! [...] HELLO! AND IT COMES WITH DELETED FILE RECOVERY SOFTWARE, AN SD/SDHC CARD READER, A CUTE LIL' CARRYING POUCH, and LIFETIME WARRANTY on the card! INSANE!I was skeptical of the speed... SO - the first thing I did was test it out using free speed testing software [...] Ran the quick test several times on both cards... The speed was always 19.8MB/second. That was the quick test... was CLOSE ENUFF to the advertised min 20mb/sec for me! So, I didn't bother running the full/long test. I used this same test on some competing brand's SD memory, memory that was rated as FASTER than the SanDIsk Extreme III SD(competing SD card was rated as 150x 22mb/sec) Guess what - the competition tested at less than 5mb/sec! The competing Manufacturer is replacing - said this was totally unacceptable... So we'll see if the new card is better. None the less, the SanDisk worked great right out of the box! 4GB of the SanDisk at a low price [...] is INSANE- dont think.. just buy! I am using in my new Canon S5 IS digital camera. And loving it!
This was an addition to my pair of 2gig extreme III's.
Nice to have as a main card with the smaller cards as backups. With rebate, was very reasonable. Should have bought two!! OH well.
I bought this memory card after it was recommended by JVC for use in my JVC Eviro GZ-HD7, it works great!
I had a 2gb extreme and it worked really well so i decided to upgrade and buy a second card so that I could store more RAW images.
Its great having such a large card now. Its fast too.
Noticeably faster when downloading images to Photoshop.
This card is great! I haven't filled yet but plan to do so on vacation. Works flawlessly in my Nikon D80. I have had nothing but good results with this card.
This card is FAST , I can shoot rapid and the card
keeps up very well. Also 4GB lets me shoot a lot
of Raw images.
I needed more space for video and photos for vacation and family and I can take pictures faster than with the other memory cards I have.
It is my favorite for this camera right now till a better one comes along.
With the USB 2.0 reader included in the price, this baby honks! Even RAW photos move smartly from memory card to hard drive.
love this card, have two extreme III 2 gig cards as well and just love the extra space, when capturing everything in raw.
I am using it on a Canon 1Ds Mark ll. It is the back-up card and so far it is working great.
