I've used Kingston Data Travler products for years, and in general have been quite happy. This product doesn't seem to be up to their standards.
What makes the product different. This product is a hybrid between a memory stick and memory card reader. It contains 2GB of memory like a memory stick or thumb drive, but it also has a slot to hold an SD, MMC, or SDHC memory card. When inserted into a computer, two drives mount. You can copy data from the internal memory to the memory in the memory card slot. I have some programs on the internal memory, and save the card slot for moving data (PICS) to and from a memory card to the computer.
What I'm disappointed in is the construction of the device. First, I was surprised that the memory card slot wasn't spring loaded. I'm used to pushing down on the card to pop it out of the slot. On this device there is a sliding piece of plastic that you move back and forth. It seems kind of cheap. Not what I'm used to from Kingston. So far it hasn't been a problem. The part that is a problem is the cover to the card slot. At first this was very difficult to open, now it won't stay shut. This allows more dust and lint to get into the memory card slot area than I would like.
Over all this product has worked, but the construction quality is lower than previous Kingston products that I've owned.
I'm going to mark this as an "Yes, I would recommend" product, only because 1) it is somewhat unique, and 2) in spite of my comments on construction, it does work.

Just went on vacation and took 100's of pictures. I was able to move them from my memory card for safe keeping.
