U3 has its fans -- it's transparent and problem free, but only if your machine will run it. I operate on two work machines and two machines here at home and U3 Works fine on one at each location. From what I've been able to find out those are about average figures.
When inserted into a USB port on one of the two machines on which it won't work (my two primary desktops) pretty much everything freezes up after some seemingly random strange (but not entertaining) behavior.
Removing U3 solves the problem, but don't try to use the remove utility from Sandisk. It won't work. Instead, go to the U3 site and use the removal utility they provide there. Without that information you could spend an entire weekend trying to make things work, and possibly kill the drive.
The drive is substantial and seems to be very well made. One surprise bonus was that mine came with an optional pocket clip. Since I bought this drive to replace a missing Cruzer on which my entire life existed (mostly password protected but not encrypted), the clip seems like an excellent feature.
Used with TrueCrypt (drive enccrypting software), my Titanium is proving to be a great traveling buddy.
As a drive, it's nice. I can't yet hold an opinion on its durability, but it's plenty fast and spacious for my needs. I could do without the "extras" though; I purely hate autoexecuting cruft, and the first thing I did after getting this was search out how to squelch ALL autorun actions, including USB.
Fully met my expectations for a portable file transfer device.
Plenty of capacity in a tough shell. Can carry in a pocket without worrying that it will get damaged.
This is my second Titanium, the first one, a 1gb, is full and with the excellent price and double the capacity I knew I needed the 2gb version. It has not disappointed. Fast, durable, and smaller. You can go anywhere with all of your data in hand.
This is a great drive! The U3 software is a breeze to use and you can get some great apps too. The case is pretty much the strongest thing I have seen yet. I will get more of these in the future as needs arise.
Own many SanDisk products and this product is no different. Works terrific, the size is easier to carry in your pocket. Highly recommend.
The product itself is excellent and I have no issues with it. I have heard a lot of complains about U3 software that comes with it. And indeed, the software is slow to load on new computer and slows down disk recognition. However, it is generally useful and have plenty free add-ons on the internet that expands the capability of the flashdisk. The best part, if you are get tireded with software you can always uninstall it!
Couldn't be happier with the Titanium Cruzer. No setup was necessary, fast, and seems to be extremely durable.
The titanium model add weight to remind you when the flash drive is being carried.
Used it last weekend taking action shots at local Surf Carnival to download photos onto.It worked really
well,in all aspects. Able to burn all
Photos taken straight on DVD after
reviewing them at end of session.
