No, I would not recommend this to a friend
I ordered two of these and both had very poor image quality. Maybe both were defective? Very high contrast, dark, and poor colors. When I used the software available from their web site to "optimize" the photo files for their frame, they looked even worse.They functioned as advertised,otherwise.[...] returned them immediately.
