Item works great. I take it in and out of my camera a lot, in addition to placing into my card reader. I had another brand in a 4GB model, the casing started to break apart, rendering it useless. Don't understand what I reviewer wrote about finding a card reader. I own 3 card readers, 1 direct from SanDisk all work perfect with this card. Perhaps he should shop around, you can find many things online.

I have started playing with RAW on my D80. This card allowed me go on vacation, shooting a wedding and a week at the beach, without changing or downloading.I was even able to shoot in RAW+JPEG; so that I could share the photos with other guests, and still bring home the RAW files to work on later.I have 2 of the Extreme III 2GB cards, but for the price ([$]) you can't beat it!The card reads and writes so fast that I am limited by my camera unless I shoot >30 frames continuous, and maybe even then since I've never needed to push it like that.Great product!

Still trying to find a card reader that will read High Capacity cards. Most available readers in most stores do NOT read HC cards (greater than 2 GB)

Works as advertised. Writes very quickly, and with the rebates was a great deal. You get what you pay for, and I always look for Sandisk Extreme cards vs. lesser or unknown brands despite the price difference.

with the camera I have I can put about 1,400 pics on it at 12.2 mega pixel.I have a 4 GB Extreme III

The first thing I had to do was get a card reader that would read the SD-HC cards. Once I had my USB problems out of the way it was fairly smooth sailing. Using a Nikon D90 I shot a 465 image wedding, saving in both "RAW" and "JPG Large Normal" and held my breath until I got back to my Desktop and successfully downloaded everything. The card worked very well.

Cautions:
Be sure that camera is OFF, before inserting or removing the SD card.

At the PC, first insert card reader into USB port, THEN insert card into reader.

It performs fast, stores and unloads pics FAST, and just holds an incredible number of pics. Shooting both Normal JPEG + RAW storage, I still get 400+ pics on the card in my Nikon D80. Shooting just Norm jpeg, I get over 1000.

I use this card in an EOS Rebel XSi which features 12 MB pixels. The card is fast to write images, even in continuous shooting mode and uploads to a computer quickly also. Great product for anyone who shoots sports or wildlife and never wants to miss the next shot while the images is still writing to the card.

Great product , so far so good. The SDHC cards require a different card reader than the standard SD card readers. This should be mentioned in the prpduct description.

Great product, as expected with the Extreme III line from SanDisk. 8GB allows me to shoot an entire event in RAW+JPG so I can upload the JPGs quickly, then process the needed RAWs. Read/Write speeds are great for the price range. I recomend purchasing 3 cards to take full advantage of SanDisk's Winter Offer and save [$]

The capacity is right on. Any bigger (shooting RAW + JPEG Fine on a D90) doesn't make sense for me. I get 360+ exposures on this card alone. If I need more, I switch cards and move on. Since I am not a pro, I do not have any reason to shoot any more than that in one session. Shooting just JPEG Fine, I am shown that I can shoot 1.1k exposures.

The great thing about this is that it has high enough capacity to shoot continuously, without worry, ot if you have a USB card reader, you can use it as external flash disk as well. It works quite fast and reliable.

I got 3 cards because of the MIR program, and the extreme 3 cf card didn't let me down, the fast speed makes you can wait no longer and the 8g storage is big enough even you use the full-frame digital SLR.
If you got 3 card, you can make movie through cannon 5D mark 2. XD
although it's can't be compared with extreme 4, but this one is enough for you

I needed quality memory at a great price. The SanDisk 8 GB, Extreme III was perfect for the Canon Xsi camera. It did not hurt that Sandisk had a great rebate when buying 3. It was also a surprise when I received the memory cards and each one came with a reader.

Let's see, what are the cons for this 8gb memory card...absolutely NON! I use this card with my canon rebel xsi and it seems to be overkill for my needs, I shoot in the large (no RAW) picture setting on my camera and the card can hold a little over 1800 pictures and is incredibly fast. In fact, I haven't needed to empty it out yet since I bought it about a month ago, and I've taken a lot of pictures since then. All in all, a great buy plus it came with a card-reader, case, and warranty. The only thing is that these things can be pricey, however the prices tend to drop dramatically once a higher capacity card comes out, this can be a good and bad thing depending on when you buy, but this is typical with this type of product. 5 stars all the way.

I RELY ON THIS CARD EVERYDAY. IT HAS NEVER LET ME DOWN I SHOOT BETWEEN 200-400 IMAGES A DAY AND I HAVE A SAN DISK 4 G/B BACK-UP CARD AS WELL. THIS CARD TRANSFERS LIGHTNING FAST, FORMATS IN A SKINNY MINUTE OR LESS. I FORMAT AFTER EVERY SHOOT JUST TO KEEP THE CARD FRESH.

A great memory card does not limit the speed of your digital camera, has plenty of room for lots of pictures and is well priced. My SLR camera does not skip a beat with this card. The card has room for 450+ 12MP RAW images and came with a rebate that made it a steal.

I've been using the 2GB Extreme III cards for almost a year. Got tired of swapping, so I got a couple of 8GB cards. The 8GB card is just as fast as the 2gb card as far as I can tell. With the rebate, these are not only the best performance for 8GB cards, but the best price for high performance 8GB cards. And the card reader is a bonus.

Good performance in my Nikon D40. Worked seamlessly no problems. I also use for temp data transfer between computers. I bought 2 copies but got the Sandisk rebate for one copy only. Sandisk is arranging rebate for the 2nd. Price with rebate is fantastic. SD card-reader included is a convenient bonus. Adoram rocks.
