Comments about Plustek Plustek OpticFilm 7500iSE Film Scanner, for 35mm Slides and Negatives, Color CCD Image Sensor Technology, USB 2.0 Interface for Windows & Mac:

I bought the unit to digitize some very old slides and negatives. It is absolutely doing the job. Due to the quality of some of the source images the process is time comsuming, but the software for retouching is excellent.

I am happy with this scanner. It was eather Plustek 7500 or Nikon Coolscan. Nikon Coolscan cost about $800 more but the speed is the same. I've previously used Coolscan and I don't see too much of a difference between these two scanners. I recommend it to anyone who wants to transfer their slides/negatives.

Comments about Plustek Plustek OpticFilm 7500iSE Film Scanner, for 35mm Slides and Negatives, Color CCD Image Sensor Technology, USB 2.0 Interface for Windows & Mac:

The 7500iSE is a great scanner for the money. I'm a Mac user, and this scanner is compatible with even the later OSX versions, (something most competitors' scanner can't do). Using it to back up my extensive slide catalog. A variety of scanning options and settings to get the best scan of each slide or negative. I wish there was a batch adapter, but for the cost and the results I've seen so far, I'm very happy with this scanner. I also spoke with a technical rep from Plustek, and they were incredibly helpful. Happy scanning.

Work great once you figure out how to use it. The videos are too simplified. The new manual is outrageously expensive.

Comments about Plustek Plustek OpticFilm 7500iSE Film Scanner, for 35mm Slides and Negatives, Color CCD Image Sensor Technology, USB 2.0 Interface for Windows & Mac:

I had experienced some bad luck. My initial scanner failed after three years and the company had gone out of business. An inexpensive scanner I bought as a replacement used LED lighting that gave very poor color reproduction. This product seems to do everything right. I would buy it again.
