The PS-C500-VP is JUNK! I have one- It would not install on VIsta 64bit Dell I7 920 system, not on Gateway Vista 64 bit laptop, not on Lenovo 32 bit Vista business laptop, after many many hours (days) of messing with old P4-3.0 system with Vista 32 bit business Ihad ti working for a moment, then it would not recognize the 'camera' when I booted up the next time, and after many install-uninstall attempts - is a useless plastic paper weight today -- I might as well had spent the money on the lottery chances for satisfaction were better. Manufacturer says will not run on 64 bit Vista, but two machines were 32 bit and still no success, asked about 64 bit drivers-- was like asking to get blood from a rock- In summary they subtly implied I got screwed for buying it. This unit seems to be the same with a LCD monitor added.

I recently purchased this product and would highly recommend this product. In fact, I have recommended it to friends after showing them what it can do and they too have gone out and purchased one. I have digitized over 1600 photos and this unit has worked flawsly. I have tried scanning photos with a flatbed scanner and it is a long drawn out process. This unit takes seconds to digitize one photo, where a flatbed scanner takes at a high resolution minutes. Best product I have used for photos yet!!!

I am a 74 year old grandmother; I had thousands of photos for which I no longer had the negatives.. Literally, in moments, I had my first photos from hard copy to digital! I have used other means of transferring photos (negative to digital) but this was even easier.
