Place this thing ona a contact sheet or other thing you want to magnify > that's how it works. Light can come from all sides and it's great.
Price is nice.
Field of view is BIG...you see all frame and do not have to move magnifier back and forward to see all frame
AND you get a strap which can be used to carry this Magnifier wherever you want...

I use this lens for cheking my slides for deffects, dust, fingerprints and correct focus before scanning them to my PC. You can view the whole image at once.
Grat price for the quality $$$.
