The Cover isn't padded at all, it's very flat. They handle abuse very well. Only negative is the adhesive isn't always centered perfectly on the pages.

This is the book I use for wedding parent albums and senior photos. It's a great book and allows for a great deal of design freedom.
I have a 10x10 inch padded cover book in this line that I have used as a portfolio for four years and it still looks great even with all the handling it gets. I like that the page extends beyond the photo so you don't have to touch the photo to turn the page and I like that I don't ever have to trim the prints to get them to fit properly--most self adhesive mount books require trimming. Very time consuming. The price is wonderful too and allows me to give people top quality within their budget
