Just as other reviewer mentioned, this frame is really 15 3/4" x 19 3/4".

The frames were great. The quality of the glass, backing and clips are excellent. I used them for a series of photographs and plan to use more when I expand the series.

i had custom mats cut for some odd sized pictures for a birthday gift, i intended to put one in this frame, the standard 16 x 20 mat sticks out on all sides since this frame is not 16 x 20. this is also true of the 12 x 16 (really 11.75 x 15.75) dennis daniels clip frames i purchased. now i have to start all over on this gift or somehow try to cut the edges off my nice new mats.
